CityU Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival with Staff Members

As the Mid-Autumn Festival is fast approaching, CityU Macau has organised a two-day celebration event for all staff members, where everyone has received a mooncake gift set and enjoyed an interactive party game. With this festive gesture, the University hopes to extend the most heartfelt blessings to our staff and their families.

CityU Macau has been striving to uphold its social responsibility. Therefore, we are supporting again the Mid-Autumn Mooncake Charity Sale launched by Fuhong Society of Macau in collaboration with the authentic traditional Macau bakery Ma Hong Kei Pastelaria. This year, they have rolled out mooncake gift sets“Full Moon Macau, City of Blossoms”for the charity sale, aiming to support the local underprivileged communities and SMEs. The mooncake gift box is wrapped with a square scarf designed by two disabled artists from Fuhong Society, which are not only durable and easy to clean, but also aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly. As this year marks the dual celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th  anniversary of the Handover of Macau, the design of the pattern on the square scarf has its base on Macau attractions with auspicious swallows flying over the Lotus Land of Macau to bless the residents in town. Apart from designing, the students of Fuhong Society also participated in the packaging and delivery process, so that they can give full play to their strengths in a suitable environment, helping them in this way integrate into the society. Through contributing to this charity sale, CityU Macau wishes to share the joy of Mid-Autumn Festival with our staff members and the disadvantaged groups, as well as raise awareness of environmental protection and care for the underprivileged communities.

On the days of celebration, we have prepared a “Mid-Autumn Joy with Pitch-Pot Game” activity. All the attendees enjoyed the game where they discussed strategies and worked out as a group to win the prize. We all had some warm and delightful moments!

CityU Macau has always been adhering to the “people-oriented” spirit, paying attention to the physical and mental health of all staff members, and promoting work-life balance. We hope that through this event, our staff members would feel the care from the University . At last, CityU Macau would like to extend our best wishes to all colleagues and wish everyone a happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
