*All academic employment is under fixed-term contract.

Full-time academic staff can enjoy:

About Macau

1. Border Gate

Intercity Railway︰To Zhuhai Railway station, then walk to Gongbei Port;

Plane:To Zhuhai Aiport, then take taxi/public transportation to the Gongbei Port.

2. New Hengqin Port

Shuttle bus service to the Port is available in Zhuhai Airport

3. Macau International Airport

Macau international Airport is located in Taipa, regular flights are available to/from Macau every week.

4. Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal / Taipa Ferry Terminal

First one is located in the Macau Peninsula area while the later one is located in Taipa, regular ferry service to/from Hong Kong is available every day.

1. Border Gate

  • By Taxi

After crossing the Border Gate from China, Taxi Stop is located straight in 150 meters away. Showing the driver your destination “City University of Macau 澳門氹仔城市大學, the approximate fee is MOP70 (depending on the actual traffic condition).

 

2. New Hengqin Port

  • By Taxi

Take taxi and show the driver “City University of Macau 澳門氹仔城市大學at the Taxi Stop outside the Port.The approximate fee is MOP60 (depending on the actual traffic condition).

  • By Public Bus

Take Bus 25B (Posto Fronteirico Macau – Henqin to Portas do Cerco direction) at bus stop T357 “Posto Fronteirico Macau – Henqin” and get off at bus stop “T300 Esparteiro/Lou Lim Ieok”, then walk up the slope to the University. The bus fee is MOP6, no changes allowed.

*It is recommended to take taxi if not familiar with the bus directions

 

3. Macau International Airport

  • By Taxi

Taxi Stop is located outside the Airport, showing the driver your destination “City University of Macau 澳門氹仔城市大學, the approximate fee is MOP40 (depending on the actual traffic condition);

  • By Public Bus

Bus stop “T356 Aeroporto De Macau” is located outside the Airport, take Bus MT1 to bus stop “T300 Esparteiro/Lou Lim Ieok, then walk up the slope to the University. The bus fee is MOP6, no changes allowed.

*It is recommended to take taxi if not familiar with the bus directions

4. Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal

  • By Taxi

Taxi Stop is located at G/F outside the Terminal, showing the driver your destination “City University of Macau 澳門氹仔城市大學, the approximate fee is MOP60 (depending on the actual traffic condition);

  • By Public Bus

Take Bus 28A at bus stop “T239 Terminal Maritimo De Passageiros Do Porto Exterior” bus stop “T300 Esparteiro/Lou Lim Ieok, then walk up the slope to the University. The bus fee is MOP6, no changes allowed.

*It is recommended to take taxi if not familiar with the bus directions

 

5. Taipa Ferry Terminal

  • By Taxi

Taxi Stop is located outside the Terminal, showing the driver your destination “City University of Macau 澳門氹仔城市大學”, the approximate fee is MOP50 (depending on the actual traffic condition).

  • By Public Bus

Bus stop “T345 Terminal Maritimo De PAssageiros Da Taipa” is located outside the Termial, take Bus MT1 to bus stop “T300 Esparteiro/Lou Lim Ieok, then walk up the slope to the University. The bus fee is MOP6, no changes allowed.

Employee can either rent or purchase apartment in Macau, the University also provide staff quarter to those non-resident employee for rent. Interested employee should make the application with the Human Resources Office before report duty for follow-up.

Different kinds of facilities are available in campus to meet the daily needs:

  • Chinese Restaurant: Chinese-typed breakfast and lunch are available
  • Café: Coffee, light refreshments, light western-typed lunch box are available
  • Service Centre: Snacks and drink are for sale
  • Gym Room: Gym facilities are provided
  • Library: Varieties of books and journals, multi-media equipment are provided

Currency

Macauese Pataca is the official currency in Macau. HKD dollar and Mainland RMB can be used for exchange at banks or currency exchange store.

Temperature

Macau is located in the subtropical zone. Hot and rainy in in summer; dry and cool in winter. In general minimum temperature is around 5℃ while the maximum is around 31℃。

Language

The official language is Chinese and Portuguese. The daily language being used is Cantonese, Mandarin and English can also be used.

Time Zone

In UTC+8 time zone in line with Beijing time.

Macau Pass

Available for sale in Macau Pass official store or vendors (Circle K Convenient Store, Royal Supermarket etc.). Discount available in bus fare when using Macau Pass, and can also be used in some supermarkets for payment.
