In order to promote and increase staff member’s awareness against corruption and introduce related laws and regulations against illegal acts such as bribery, the University has invited a representative from Commission Against Corruption to come to our campus and held a legal workshop “Law on Prevention and Suppression of Bribery in the Private Sector” on 20th March.

Ms. Lou from Commission Against Corruption explained in detail of the laws on “Prevention and Suppression of Bribery in the Private Sector” and common crimes involving violations of integrity. Besides getting to know the legal knowledge, colleagues can learn how to avoid bribery and corruption at work with case analyses and case sharing.

The response to the Q&A session at the end of the workshop was enthusiastic, where participants were keen to ask questions about situations they might encounter at work, and Ms. Lou answered them in detail with her professional knowledge and experience. Some colleagues expressed their appreciation to the University for holding a series of workshops on legal aspect. Through this workshop, colleagues have gained an in-depth understanding of Macao’s laws, and were able to enhance the awareness of a clean campus.
