CityU Organized Christmas Scented Candle Workshop for Staff Members

Christmas is just around the corner. In order to let our staff members feel the Christmas atmosphere and enhance peer rapport, the Human Resources Office (HRO) organized the “Christmas Scented Candle Workshop” on December 17. HRO received overwhelming registration, more than a dozen staff members participated in this leisure workshop. Some colleagues brought along their children to participate together, making the activity extra warm and energetic.

The organizer prepared various tools for the workshop participants, including Christmas styled accessories, decorations and moulds, as well as more than 30 types of scented essential oil for the participants to make their very own and unique candles according to their characters and preferences. In the activity, staff members helped each other and exchanged candle-making idea, allowing them to know more about their workmates and enhance their friendship, perfectly strengthening the teamwork spirit of CityU.

City University of Macau has a strong adherence to people-oriented spirit, always putting great emphasis on the physical and mental well-being of our colleagues. Besides diligence at work, the University hopes that colleagues pay attention to work-life balance, and takes the opportunity of this activity, sending festive blessings to colleagues and their families. The University also thanks colleagues for their support and their dedication during the fight against the epidemic. During the event, HRO strictly observed the current guidelines of Macau SAR government’s epidemic prevention policy, reminding all participants to wear masks throughout the process, and providing alcohol disinfectant on site. At this current stage of epidemic development, we must continue to do our best preventive measures and protect the campus together, and provide a good teaching and learning environment for staff and students.
