CityU Shows Cooperate Responsibility by Supporting Fuhong Macau on Mooncake Charity Sales

As Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, to celebrate this seasonal event with all our staff members this year, the University has purchased the Charity Mooncake Gift Set jointly produced by Fuhong Society of Macau and Ma Hong Kei Pastry, hoping to share joy and love to both our staff members and the minority group in the community during the festival.

The Charity Mooncake Gift Sets were delivered to the University on September 13, leading by the Director of Fuhong Society of Macau – Ms. Chau Wai I and Administrative Manager – Ms. Cheok Man I, together with two students from Fuhong Macau, and they were warmly greeted by Pro-Rector Ms. Chan Sin Man. Ms. Chau thanks CityU for supporting the Charity Sales and has introduced the production process, designer and the concept of the Gift Set. The whole production process, from designing, drawing to packing, was done by Fuhong students. Ms. Chau also said, “Fuhong Macau wants to provide learning environment and job opportunities to our students through this kind of event as this kind of opportunities are better than just taking care of them”.

Pro-Rector Chan gave a warm welcome to Ms. Chau and her team. Pro-Rector Chan admired the operation concept of Fuhong Macau and their efforts put in helping the minority group in the society. “It is great that the University can show supports in this charity sales and share this meaningful gift to our staff members. The University will continue support Macau’s social community in future”, said Pro-Rector Chan.

Besides focusing on cultivating talents and caring our staff members, the City University of Macau also pays efforts in social responsibility. It is our aim to take part in more social responsibility activities, and to cooperate with local social community to help out the minority.
