To this end, the University has been recruiting new academic staff from different disciplines globally. In this academic year, we are thrilled to have many outstanding scholars from all over the world joined our CityU family. Human Resources Office held a series of pre-onboarding activities from 16 to 25 August, including welcome reception, Meet & Greet with University Leaders, job-related trainings and welcome refreshment session, in order to assist the new-joined staff to better integrate into the life of CityU, and to carry out their work smoothly in the new academic year.

At the welcome reception on 18 August, Rector Liu Jun, Vice-Rector Kong Fanqing, Vice-Rector Zhou Wanlei, Pro-Rector Ip Kuai Peng, Pro-Rector Wicky So Kam Hung, Pro-Rector Cintia Chan Sin Man, Pro-Rector Robert Chan Chon Pat and Pro-Rector Sean Li Shuying gave speeches in welcoming the new-joined staff, sharing the current status and the future goals of the University. Rector Liu Jun said that he is very happy to see so many distinguished scholars from all over the world joining the University, and really looks forward to working with our staff members to further build a high-level, open and comprehensive university. With the enthusiastic response from our new-joined staff members, the atmosphere of the event was lively. There was also a small tea party after the welcome reception, providing snacks and drinks for the participants to enjoy. The party also allows everyone to get to know each other and University Leaders.

City University of Macau will continue to uphold the social responsibility and mission of “Rooted in Macau and Serving the Greater Bay Area”, providing more staff training and development opportunities, as well as platforms for our staff members to express themselves. Together we could grow with the University and strive to cultivate more local talents for Macau and the Greater Bay Area.
