Father’s Day Portuguese Cuisine Cooking Workshop

In celebration of the upcoming Father’s Day, the University has held a Portuguese Cuisine Cooking Workshop for our staff members on June 19, 2021. Participants can learn hands-on skills in cooking a special Macanese-Portuguese dish – “Portuguese Chicken”, and bring their own dish home to share with their fathers as well as other family members.

With clear instruction and demonstration by the chef who has years of experience in cooking Portuguese cuisine, everyone enjoyed cooking their own Portuguese Chicken very much. Many of our staff members showed their cooking talents, and the atmosphere of the workshop was relax and full of laughter. At the end of the workshop, all participants shared and tasted the Portuguese Chicken together.

One of the colleagues said as she had less time to spend with her father, she would really like to take this chance to express her gratitude to her hero with his favourite Portuguese food. Therefore, she was grateful that the University offered such a meaningful workshop for her and other colleagues to join. She was sure that her father would like her “Portuguese Chicken”.

The University cherishes every staff member and therefore would like to promote the importance of work-life balance by organizing leisure workshops. These activities can also bring our staff members together, creating a platform for them to interact and build up friendship between faculties and administrative units.
