CityU Holds “First Aid Basics in the Workplace” Workshop

In order to continue improving the understanding of our staff members on health care, the University has held a workshop on “First Aid Basics in the Workplace” in Exhibition Hall of the Cultural Centre on 18th January 2023 and invited Mr. Shi Qinfeng, representative from the Macau Red Cross, to introduce the basic knowledge of first aid in the campus working environment.

In the Workshop, Mr. Shi explained various situations that require the use of first aid knowledge in daily life and working environment, such as suffocation, choking and shock, as well as their respective first aid handling including recumbent position, CPR and artificial respiration, etc. The Workshop teaches our staff members correct first aid skills and appropriate handling methods in different situations.

Staff members were invited to participate in the demonstration of first aid treatment methods on the spot through role-playing. They were attentive and eager to attempt the demonstrated first aid action. The Workshop received positive feedback from staff members who agreed that its content is practical and useful. They hoped that they could use their knowledge to help those in need under emergency.

The City University of Macau always upholds the social responsibility and philosophy of “rooting in Macau and serving the Greater Bay Area”. We pay close attention to the health of our staff members while attaching importance to personnel training and development. We will continue this series of activities and workshops to strengthen knowledge of our staff members in this regard to create a better campus environment.
