CityU Holds “Understanding Emotions and Stress Relief” Workshop

In order to assist staff members in balancing daily life and work, and enhance the awareness of emotions and stress relief among them, the University held a workshop on “Understanding Emotions and Stress Relief” on February 28. The University invited Ms. Chan Kit Leng, a registered social worker with a certificate of Mental Health First Aid Instructor, to give a talk to our staff members.

The workshop started in a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. Ms. Chan explained the professional knowledge about mental health first aid through group session and videos, evaluated the current stress condition of our colleagues through a quiz, and delivered the methods of releasing stress in daily life. It was hoped that our staff members could release pressure in time when they felt stress in their lives, relax their moods and adjust their emotions correctly.

In the discussion session during the workshop, colleagues shared their thoughts and expressed that they had benefited a lot from this workshop and had developed a correct understanding of emotions and stress, and that they would face difficulties with a more positive attitude in their future lives, have a correct understanding on themselves, and manage their emotions reasonably.

The City University of Macau always upholds the social responsibility and philosophy of serving Macao, integrating into the Greater Bay Area.We pay close attention to the health of our staff members while attaching importance to personnel training and development of our staff. In this event, the University expects the staff to learn the way to balance their work and life, and to devote themselves with a more positive mindset. In the future, the University will continue to organize a series of activities and seminars to enhance our staff members’ understanding of health, and work together to create a better campus environment.
