As Father’s Day is approaching, in order to provide more parent-child activity experience to our staff members, the University has arranged a Parent-Child Ceramic Collage Workshop in the morning of 18 June, letting all “fathers” or “mothers” to bring their children to participate the workshop and complete the work together, enjoying the happy atmosphere of this special day.
In the workshop, the instructor demonstrated in detail how to transfer the lovely pattern to the porcelain. With handwriting and pressing the palm print, participants can create a unique and commemorative porcelain work. Both adults and children participating in the workshop have burst out with infinite creativity and designed works which were in different styles but full of love. Some children have printed their palm prints on the porcelain by themselves or with their parents, leaving precious marks of growth. The atmosphere of the event was warm. Some colleagues who participated said that they were very happy the University had organized such parent-child activities for them, offering them an opportunity to leave more beautiful memories in the growing process of their children. They hoped that the University would hold more parent-child activities in the future, so as to let colleagues bringing their own children to participate.
City University of Macau has always been adhering to the “people-oriented” spirit, paying attention to the physical and mental development of all staff members, and would also like to promote the importance of work-life balance by organizing the leisure workshop. The University also hopes to send festive blessings to all fathers through this event. Wishing all dads a Happy Father’s Day!
