In response to the Macao SAR Government’s “Healthy Campus” initiative and to continuously support the well-being and quality of life of its staff, City University of Macau organized an “Interpersonal Relationship Management Workshop” on 26 June 2026. This event marked the sixth thematic workshop under the “Employee Assistance Program” in the 2025/2026 Academic Year, focusing on improving workplace communication and self-regulation to help build more harmonious professional environments and interpersonal connections. The workshop was delivered by professional counsellors from the Sheng Kung Hui Macau. Its comprehensive and practical content drew strong participation from staff members.

The workshop guided staff members to deeply reflect on their own interpersonal interaction patterns, learning to rationally resolve potential contradictions and relationship conflicts in the workplace or daily life, thereby comprehensively enhancing their psychological resilience when facing pressures and challenges. Drawing from the perspectives of psychology, the speaker explained the underlying logic of interpersonal dynamics clearly, while conducting in-depth analyses of real-world cases commonly encountered in higher education administration. The session covered topics such as differing stances in cross-departmental communication, emotional regulation during daily task assignments, and the establishment of trust within team collaboration.
Ms. Hui from General Affairs Office remarked that this workshop closely addressed the practical demands of administrative roles. Guided by professional psychological perspectives, it offered actionable solutions to break down communication barriers. She also expressed that the workshop demonstrated thoughtful care from the University, which effectively boosted their work efficiency and well-being in daily life.

City University of Macau has always valued the holistic well-being of its staff, and this workshop reflects the University’s concern and support for the physical and mental health of them. In the future, City University of Macau will continue to promote various physical and mental health support activities to create a friendly and supportive working environment to help staff members achieve a balance between personal growth and professional development, and jointly promote harmonious workplace and steady development of the University.
