Modern office workers often face heavy workloads, which can lead to the accumulation of documents, files, and office supplies in the workplace. In response to the Macao SAR Government’s “Healthy Campus” initiative and to continuously support the well-being and quality of life of its staff, City University of Macau organized an “Office Storage Skills Workshop” on 15 May 2026. This event marked the fifth thematic workshop under the “Employee Assistance Program” in the 2025/2026 Academic Year, focusing on improving office organization and efficiency to help optimize the working environment. The workshop attracted enthusiastic participation from staff members, with a lively atmosphere and content that was both comprehensive and practical.

The workshop guided participants to re-examine the essence of organization, emphasizing the dual management of physical space and mindset. The instructor systematically introduced the underlying principles of organization, progressing from basic concepts to practical applications, and shared universal strategies applicable to both office and home environments. Tailored solutions were provided for managing documents, books, digital files, and everyday items. The workshop covered efficient organization techniques for the workspace and key areas of the home, and included interactive group practice sessions. In a relaxed setting, participants engaged in hands-on activities, quickly mastering practical skills that could be readily applied to both their professional and daily lives.
Ms. Rosario from the Graduate School noted that the workshop content closely aligned with everyday needs. It not only enabled her to acquire systematic organization methods that effectively improved workspace clutter and enhanced concentration, but also provided an opportunity to relax through interaction and exchange with colleagues. She further remarked that the experience reflected the University’s care and support, while contributing to improved work efficiency and overall quality of life.
City University of Macau has consistently placed strong emphasis on the holistic well-being of its staff and continues to promote a diverse range of health and wellness initiatives. Looking ahead, the University will further strengthen its efforts to support staff in balancing professional development and personal well-being, while fostering a more friendly, comfortable, and supportive working environment, and cultivating a harmonious and sustainable campus culture.
