As Macao enters the high-risk season for mosquito-borne diseases, the University has prepared mosquito repellent for staff members, especially those who frequently work outdoors. This initiative aims to enhance campus awareness and protect the health and safety of staff members, while jointly preventing the spread of mosquito-borne illnesses such as dengue fever.
The recent hot and humid weather creates favorable conditions for disease-carrying mosquitoes. Human Resources Office reminds that colleagues engaging in outdoor activities are advised to wear light-colored long-sleeved clothing, apply mosquito repellent, and avoid staying near bushes or stagnant water during peak mosquito activity hours.
Upholding the “people-oriented” philosophy, City University of Macau has always focused on the well-being of its staff members, and advocates to prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases hand in hand. We urge all colleagues to stay alert and adopt proper personal mosquito protection measures to help maintain a safe and healthy campus environment together.
