As Mother’s Day approaches, City University of Macau presented thoughtfully selected aroma stone sets with essential oils to all working mothers among the staff members, demonstrating respect and care through this warm gesture for their dual roles in both family and career.

The Human Resources Office selected the aroma stone sets – comprising natural crystals and plant-based essential oils such as lavender and rose – for working mothers who shoulder both professional responsibilities and family duties. These sets help colleagues soothe stress, relax physically and mentally, and create a comfortable space in their daily routines, integrating festive blessings with everyday well-being.
On the day of the event, Vice Chairperson of the University Council Prof. Kong Fanqing and Acting Head of Human Resources Office Ms. Anita Chong presented the gifts and blessings on behalf of the University. Recipients shared their appreciation and remarked, “Placing the aroma stone on my desk is both aesthetic and practical. The plant-based fragrance relieves work fatigue.” Another noted, “Beyond its functions, this gift makes me feel the University’s delicate consideration for working mothers.” The venue was filled with a warm atmosphere and cheerful laughter.

Upholding the “people-oriented” philosophy, City University of Macau has always focused on the physical and mental well-being of its staff members, advocating for work-life balance alongside professional dedication. This Mother’s Day initiative not only serves as a thoughtful greeting to female staff members but also reflects the University’s emphasis on family values. In the future, CityU will continue to address the physical and mental needs of its staff through diverse activities, supporting them to thrive in both career and family. Once again, we wish all mothers a happy Mother’s Day, good health, and family happiness!
