To celebrate International Women’s Day, City University of Macau has prepared special and practical gifts for all female staff members to express gratitude for their longstanding dedication and hard work, while extending heartfelt festive wishes.
On the day of the event, Vice Chairperson of University Council Prof. Kong Fanqing and Acting Head of Human Resources Office Ms. Anita Chong presented meaningful commemorative gifts to all female colleagues on behalf of the University. This year’s gifts centered on the theme of “Warmth and Wellness,” featuring carefully selected Wormwood massage hammers that are practical and bring quality living. The University hopes this activity will convey care and recognition for the contributions of female staff members.

“Every gift symbolizes the University’s affirmation and support for us,” said a female colleague receiving her gift. She noted that such initiatives fostered a warm team atmosphere and made her feel privileged to work alongside outstanding female peers. Many colleagues shared photos of their gifts on social media and noted, “Thanks to the University for creating a memorable day.”

City University of Macau has always upheld a “people-centered” philosophy, committed to cultivating a campus culture of respect for diversity and employee care. This Women’s Day activity not only honors the professional contributions of female staff members but also underscores the University’s emphasis on gender equality and employee well-being. Looking ahead, Human Resources Office will continue to design diverse employee engagement activities, aiming to help all staff achieve a balance between professional growth and quality of life through concrete actions.
Once again, we extend our heartfelt wishes to all female colleagues: Happy International Women’s Day! May you continue to shine with resilience and wisdom in all your roles, and together with the University, write more remarkable chapters.
