CityU Delegation visited multiple Mainland Cities to Promote Talent Recruitment and Academic Exchange

In order to actively respond to the “1+4” strategy of Macao SAR for appropriate and diversified economic development, and to further strengthen the exchange and cooperation with the higher education sector in Mainland as well as for talent recruitment, the delegation from City University of Macau (CityU) recently visited Beijing, Nanjing and Chengdu, and launched recruitment activities.

 

During the Beijing trip, the delegation visited the Beijing Liaison Department of the Liaison Office of the Central Government in the Macao SAR, and was warmly received by Mr. Feng Ximen. The delegation introduced the development achievements of CityU in recent years and expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Liaison Department for its continuous concern and support for the development of Macao students. In addition, the delegation held a briefing session for Macao students and post-doctoral researchers in Beijing, introducing in detail the relevant employment policies of the Macao SAR Government, as well as the talent requirements and development opportunities in CityU. The delegation hoped to provide them with more employment opportunities and attract talents to return to Macao.

 

In addition, the delegation also participated in recruitment fairs held in Beijing and Nanjing, and had face-to-face exchanges with local doctoral and postdoctoral talents. It is hoped that through this exchange, more outstanding talents will be attracted to join the CityU faculty team. There was an enthusiastic response and the participants showed great interest in CityU positions.

 

During the Chengdu trip, the delegation visited the College of Business, College of Tourism, and several laboratories in Sichuan University, as well as participated in a recruitment briefing held by the University’s Employment Guidance Center, and had in-depth exchanges with doctoral students and post-doctoral students. This exchange visit laid the foundation for CityU and Sichuan University to establish a closer and friendly cooperative relationship in the future and explore more cooperation opportunities.

 

This series of visits has not only strengthened the ties between CityU and the higher education institutions in Mainland, but also injected new vitality into the talent attraction work. Looking ahead, CityU will continue to deepen its cooperation and academic exchanges with the higher education sector in Mainland, and jointly build a new chapter of talent and academic development. CityU will fully utilize its own advantages, strive to realize the development vision of “Macao characteristics, Chinese soul, international vision”, actively undertake more social responsibilities, and implement the concept of “Education for Macao, Talents for Macao”, so as to contribute more to the higher education industry in the region.
