To celebrate the upcoming Christmas and express gratitude to all staff members for their dedicated efforts throughout the past year, City University of Macau has organized a series of delightful events to bring warmth and joy to our staff during this special holiday season, including Christmas gathering, special Christmas gifts, and a Christmas tree workshop.
Nearly 80 new academic staff members worldwide have joined CityU in this academic year. To nurture departmental cohesion and unity, the University provides Christmas meal allowances to all departments. This ensures that everyone can come together and enjoy the festive moments with delicious food, while strengthening bonds and fostering closer connections among colleagues.
In addition, as these 80 new academic staff members come from diverse regions around the globe, the University has thoughtfully chosen a selection of gifts as sentimental present to extend our warm welcome, appreciation and blessing for their first Christmas in Macau. All of them expressed gratitude to the University for creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy during the holiday season.
On December 15, the University also organized a Christmas tree workshop for our staff. Participants had the opportunity to create their own unique miniature Christmas trees. The workshop provided various decoration materials and professional guidance, allowing everyone to unleash their creativity and craft one-of-a-kind Christmas tree creations, adding more colors to the holiday season. The participants conveyed their delight in the University’s arrangement of this themed workshop, as it provided them with the opportunity to create their own personalized Christmas tree, enabling them to share the festive joy with their loved ones.
City University of Macau has always been adhering to the “people-oriented” spirit, paying attention to the physical and mental development of all staff members, and would also like to promote the importance of work-life balance by organizing the leisure workshop. The University hopes that this event will make our colleagues feel cared for and valued by the University, and at the same time send festive greetings to all of you. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
