Chinese New Year Workshop

On the occasion of the Chinese New Year, City University of Macau held a “New Year Food Workshop” for staff members on February 7, 2021. Under the guidance of professional instructor, colleagues were able to make sweet-scented osmanthus horseshoe cakes for the Spring Festival. The osmanthus horseshoe cakes have the meaning of “success in step by step”, which is a traditional Chinese New Year food that is necessary for the new year.

The production process was relaxed and the atmosphere was harmonious. Everyone completed their cakes in full of laughter. The horseshoe cakes were crystal clear, refreshing and elastic, sweet and delicious. A colleague said that the “Staff Caring Activities” organized by the University was very interesting. She was very happy for the University to provide such a platform to allow staff participating in leisure workshops in their spare time, communicate with each other and increase the fun of life. A colleague said that under the careful guidance of the instructor, following a few simple steps, traditional Chinese New Year cakes can be successfully made. In addition, some colleagues said that they would give the horseshoe cakes to relatives and friends to celebrate the festive season together!
