The weather in Macau is humid and sultry in summer. The University Leaders understand the hardship of staff members commuting in the midsummer. On July 22, the day of “Da Shu” (Great Heat, the 12th Solar Term of the 24 Chinese Solar Terms), the University has hold a refreshing drink distribution event. With this event, the University would like to thank all colleagues for their hard work. At the same time, we also want to let more colleagues understand and inherit the “24 Solar Terms”, which has been listed by the United Nations as an intangible cultural heritage and belongs to the traditional wisdom of Chinese.
On the day of the event, two drink collection points were set up, on both the ground floor of Administration Building and the Student Tribe. Colleagues were very happy about the event. A colleague said that the choice of drinks was suitable for the current hot weather and would like to thank the University for the diligence. Another colleague said that the introduction of “Dashi” gave him a new understanding of this traditional Chinese culture.
