Father’s Day Activities

City University of Macau has hold a series of Father’s Day activities in June. There were a “Leather Crafting Workshop” on June 12 and “University Leaders Giving Handmade Cookies” on June 19. The University hopes to send blessings to colleagues and their families who have become fathers.

The University has hold the “Father’s Day Staff Leather Crafting Workshop” on June 12, letting colleagues make leather card holders by themselves and express their gratitude to their loved ones. A colleague said that his father devoted a lot to his family, and he is thankful to have this opportunities to give his father a meaningful gift. Colleagues also hope the University continue to hold different types of workshops for staff members, so as to relax and achieve a work-life balance.

In the “University Leaders Giving Handmade Cookies” activity, the University Leaders and related representatives, including Rector Zhang Shuguang, Vice-rector Kong Fanqing, and Pro-rector Cintia Chan visited various faculties and administrative departments to present exquisite handmade cookies to colleagues who have become fathers, expressing the gratitude for their continuous dedication to work and family. Pro-rector Chan said that a father, as the head of the family, is extremely important to the family, so the University specially selected exquisite handmade cookies to give to colleagues who have become fathers, hoping to express care and attention of the University. Colleagues feel heartfelt with the University’s care and expressed that the handmade cookies they received are very lovely.

In addition, the University held a “Leather Crafting Workshop” in which the participating staff members sew leather card sleeves by hand to create a unique gift to their fathers. A colleague said that my his worked hard every day and contributed a lot to the family, and thanked the school for providing this rare opportunity so that she could give her father a meaningful gift. Other participating colleagues said that the production process was very interesting, and they believed their fathers would like this gift.

The University has always been adhering to the people-oriented spirit, paying attention to the physical and mental development as well as health of colleagues in the campus family, and would like to send holiday blessings to colleagues and their families through this warm festival.
